BIO

Camden R. Fine is President and CEO of Calvert Advisors and most recently served as president and CEO of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) representing the interests of nearly 5,700 community banks of all sizes and charter types. Cam has been recognized by The Hill newspaper and CEO Update as one of Washington, D.C.'s most influential trade association CEOs and lobbyists for 14 consecutive years with the most recent recognition in 2021.

 

A native Missourian and career community banker, Cam came to the ICBA in May 2003. Before joining the ICBA, Cam chartered and organized Midwest Independent Bank of Jefferson City, Missouri and served as its president and CEO for nearly 20 years. In addition, he owned MainStreet Bank of Ashland, Missouri, a $50-million-asset community bank. Prior to his banking career, Cam served as the Missouri State Tax Director under former Governor Christopher “Kit” Bond.

 

Since 2018 Cam has served as a consultant to firms such as Visa and the Independent Community Bankers of America. In 2019, he joined the board of directors of Community Capital Technologies (CCT), a startup FinTech headquartered in New York City. In 2020, he was appointed to the board of directors of IntraFi (formerly Promontory Interfinancial Network), a financial services company with nearly 4,000 community bank clients.

 

Cam was educated at the Virginia Military Institute and the University of Missouri-Columbia. He served as an officer in the United States Army and the Missouri Army National Guard. He is a distinguished graduate and past chairman of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

 

He has had opinion pieces published in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Washington Times, The New York Times, USA Today, Politico and The Hill newspapers. Cam has been a guest host on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” several times and has been featured on CNN, MSNBC, Fox Business News, Bloomberg, PBS and NPR.
